Well Mikey, I may have put this up before, but here is a reminder as to net household wealth in Kiwiland. It basically hasn't got above $0 (ie - ZERO!) since Mar 2004 - 16 years ago!!! It only goes above zero when you add back the housing. But, there only about 60% of Kiwi's who have owner occupied housing.

I haven't included housing for obvious reasons. It is an illiquid asset if one needs money in a hurry to buy groceries or pay the rent, or an unexpected necessity. Mind you, Jacinda, Robertson & Co would have us believe we are all doing so well over here.
