Doc didn't say don't buy gold. Doc said don't buy gold on the basis of an economic collpase. By all means buy gold for speculative reasons, Doc does.

Not advice, just an opinion - like gold is going 2000 plus this year would be an opinion. Doc's opinions do carry some weight though. Speculate away but the odds are better stacked with solid profitable companies who make things or provide a service that humans need.
