The reason we diverge on electricity prices is how the market works.
Wholesale pricing has price spikes during peak demand periods.
These peak demand periods will NOT occur if business shuts down.
60% of all housing is occupied during the day in a normal workday situation.
This will move to 100%.
Office blocks, schools and some manufacturing will all close down.
What we will be seeing is one big weekend and some jurisdictions do not have peak demand pricing on weekends.
