Actually Doc the reality is ATM's are being shutdown. Over 50% of ATM's have been pulled from major shopping centers. Not much demand for cash any more. However ATM's are not totally disappearing any time soon. I think the government and banks would lie to get rid of cash and lock peoples saving in the bank. Then no body can stuff money under there mattress. also why do you think that banks are under pressure not to pay dividends. If society was cashless there could be no run on banks. Cashless is coming, and then we will be at the mercy of the banks. Its just how soon it occurs.
