Does your chart allow for capital gains tax and the trading commissions on the endless buying and selling of the underlying stocks and for tax on the distributions ?
My point still stands: on a 'risk-adjusted' basis (bearing in mind those dividends come with company risk) the returns from gold justify having a portion of it in your portfolio.
