If you like a laugh you should do a bit of research on those dudes and their failed gold and catastrophic monetary predictions. It's hilarious.
You might want to start with Doug Casey. He exhorted all his gullible followers to sell up in the USA to avoid the coming monetary cataclysm and buy properties he was selling in the boondocks in Argentina. Not long after, that long-predicted goldbug bogeyman, hyperinflation arrived, rendering their properties virtually worthless in USD.
About 2014, Goldbug Doug had another bright idea, move to Puerto Rico for the tax benefits and await the final meltdown of the USA and World War 3.
Unfortunately for Doug and his goldbug friend Peter Schiff, who also suggested to his unsuspecting camp followers to move to Puerto Rico this is what happened in 2017...Hurricane Maria....the power was out for a year.
