How does a cycle of boom and bust help people? Why is a bust considered healthy?

I think the modern day mentaility of the herd is that they all want to live better than Roman emperors, but want to be insulated from the consequences of their borrowing binges.

Of course a bust isn't healthy. But it is made an inevitability by these insane debt fuelled so-called 'booms' that the central banks create.

We are in an era of mass stupidity, where the mentality is that everyone deserves to be bailed out all the time. I would term it 'affluent socialism'. The central banks and givernments are there to gaurantee us wealth, and it's everyone's inalienable right to be able to borrow trillions of freshly created fiat at dirt cheap interest rates.

On the TV this morning that were lambasting and castigating people for poor household savings rates!! Absolutely moronic!! There is no incentive whatsoever to save, savers have been absolutely eviscerated by this 'borrow and bail-out' system that is being operated. Borrowers are being heavily subsidised and cosseted at the expense of savers.
