The bottom of the cycle in Australia was 2015. When over invested Barrick, Newmont and Glencore where first selling their assets to EVN, NST, SAR etc to repair their over invested and stretched balance sheet. That year corresponds well with golds bottom too.
I don't know when the end of the cycles is but anyone that says this cycle is just beginning shows how much of a rookie they are in playing in this sector.
If I have to guess then we are probably on day 3 (end of second innings) of the gold Test Match... Still plenty of action but we already know which gold companies are winning. You can still place your bets but investors like me thats been buying since day 1 are now laughing all the way to the bank with gains of 1400% on NST, 500% on EVN, 400% on SAR etc... I've managed to squeeze another 50-100% gains on AIS, KZR and MKR the last few months but real 6's are hard to come by now....
