Despite all the bad news on the HC gold forum that the world is collapsing, money will be worthless, and that gold is going to US$20,000, things don't appear to be that bad, in fact just recently the NASDAQ Composite has thrashed gold.

How can this be?

Well due to a variety of factors I guess. The stock markets look into the future past all the bad news, tech companies are doing well, an accommodating Federal Reserve during the bad times, and the stock market rocket ship that would arise from news of a vaccine breakthrough. Not all stock markets have done that well, but the S+P is still up 51% from its recent bottom. Not bad.

Needless to say, a vaccine breakthrough would see stock markets blast off, airlines, restaurants, shops and businesses frantically rehiring and an instant gold crash, not something that many will be fond of participating in.
