Elshroomo id say they would also be sold off during a market correction and then the good stocks will bounce back. Very few stocks are green for any length of time when the entire market sells off - expect the gold stocks to fall too but if POG is high, $$ will flow into gold stocks after the falls. Happens all the time. Holding and hoping they wont get caught up is no strategy - Having a strategy that involves being ready to buy major sell offs will pay off well imho. ie having some cash on hand or selling some stocks when prices rise/markets are toppy. Or both. AND expecting a sell off at some point as markets climb ever higher.
