If anything I'd say deflation is more of a threat at the moment. Governments are creating a lot of debt, and that will mean some tough times ahead for some countries depending on the size and diversification of their economies.

It doesn't make hyper-inflation inevitable or imminent, but it certainly does increase the risk of it happening.
