The US empire introduced The Coinage Act of 1965, Stat. 254, on July 23, 1965 which eliminated silver in the circulating United States dime or ten-cent piece and all it's quarter dollar coins. They also reduced the silver content of the half dollar from 90 percent to 40 percent. All silver in US coins was subsequently eliminated in 1970 by law. The US empire is not reinventing the wheel here. Many many former past empires trod down the exact same track...Roman Cesar's blew up their financial system and empire in exactly the same way.
