No.

I don't think that there is a case for buying gold in expectation of systemic banking collapse in Europe. The banks are being beaten with a stick, not an iron bar.

But on the other hand, low or negative interest rate eliminate the opportunity cost of holding gold. That is a plus for investing in gold.

Where does that leave us? LOL
