When the GFC arrived in London I was on the spot, down at the Docklands watching press cameras filming stockbrokers exiting their offices after getting laid off. Hundreds of them.
A bit like politicians, they don't actually contribute much to society unlike builders, pilots, teachers, doctors, nurses, engineers, surveyors etc.
