All might be sweetness and light in Skol Land, but in the real world there is a lot of hurt and it is going to take a while to recover.
Prudent to have some gold exposure in your portfolio. Even Buffett bought into Barrick Mining. He may be down slightly at the moment but nothing like the losses he made from his investments into the airline industry, or was that one of his minnions who cocked up.
Stangely, contrary to the chartmeister's view most on this forum have not held gold since 1901. I am picking most have seen a golden opportunity in the last 12 or so months and have made better returns in that period than an investment in Westpac or NAB shares.

Great returns to have been made and dumb to have ignored them and been stuck on an anti gold groove.

Just banked a 280% return on one goldie in less than six months. Missed the top and the missed buying in at the bottom.
