Just been down to my local for a couple of Skols. The discussion moved to the sharemarket which was a worry in itself.

Most of those present liked banks because a bank never goes broke and pays a dividend and deals in real assets

I asked those present to compare the performance of Westpac or NAB to NST over the last 5 years. I had to explain NST was a grubby miner extracting a worthless metal that has no p/e and pays no dividend.

I said I knew a chartmeister who said he specialised in charts and I am sure he would post one on the forum.
