Your posts show information from the BIS site, My view is that the BIS explanation is the official view, meaning the real reason for the Basel 111 implementation lies outside their website. Further, the implications, or result, of the implementation will ( or rather may not ) be anything to do with the official reason. In addition, the reaction, or myth or understanding, is different again. Herd mentality is easy to seed, but rarely yields results in the way one desires. We are all, after all, here to make money. And the more, and the quicker, the better.
