I have to laugh at cr*pto currencies being called 'digital Gold'.
Gold is Gold is Gold is Gold is Gold.
DerpCoin, FaaartCoin, DogeCoin, ShartCoin, BitCoin, BatCoin, BotCoin.....these are all just pretenders whcih are 'tricking out' the human mind around 'scarcity'. If something is 'scarce' is it 'valuable'? I did something in the toilet today that was 'one of a kind', now I just have to convince enough people that it is really valuable.
Money = Gold.
Money = Some bit of paper or cardboard or something that is readily exchangeable for Gold, that is backed by Gold, and I have to know I will get my Gold. Gold.
Digital numbers on a screen or existing in a virtual 'wallet' = not Gold.
People touting cr*pto currencies on this forum should leave and move to the cr*pto currencies forum. Cr*pto currencies are not Gold - there is no such thing as 'digital Gold'.
Gold = Gold = a tangible, solid, real, metal. An actual element no less.
Gold exists in the real physical world, it isn't a fake digital entity existing in a virtual 'wallet'.
If there is a total power outage, can I access my digital DerpCoin from my 'wallet'?
