I opened my first bank account decades ago and the bank has never clipped my ticket.
When I was very young and wanted to get a loan they weren't very helpful and said that 'married men came first', but I managed to circumvent that minor problem and promptly made quite a bit of money resurrecting a mortgagee sale dump. I won't bore you all with the details of how I evicted the occupants, cleared out the fleas, removed the wrecked cars, replaced the permanently filthy toilets and covered the holes they'd cut in the floor where the kids got in after school etc.
