I've bought gold shares in the past but not for long because as far as I'm concerned gold and BTC are the same, except with one you get a piece of useless metal. I'd much prefer to put my money to work in stocks that make and do useful things.

Gold was US$3,200 inflation-adjusted in 1980, and US$1,720 now, there's much better bets out there.
