Dont discount the meeting between Biden and Putin regarding the gold price.
I know for a fact that back in the old days.
The gold price used to get smashed just before Russia had to make a debt payment. ( was done in bullion).
Nowadays ofcourse Russia is no longer in that position to having to that.
However. Russia has postioned itself to potentially blackmail the US. Already have seen the US back down on sanctions against Russia just before this weeks meeting.
Like i mentioned before, love to know what they talked about but i bet it wasnt what the media reported.
The fact that Putin gave a one hour interview to US media channel tells me something. ( cant remember which one but i think it was cnn or maybe not)
Russia is now a very important player with lots of aces.
Anyways, the dollar rallied this week. Gold got smashed.
Russia is building up a massive gold position.
Or trying to. AND drop all $USD reserves.
