I can think of 2 reasons. My top 2 reasons:
1. Gold is like treasure, having it makes me feel like a pirate... and I like pirates.
2. There is nothing more invigorating than the feel of a shiny, smooth, cold gold bar being rubbed on my nipples to get me excited right before I jump my missus.
