Sadly, you are so far away from reality about gold and why people want to own it, no amount of corrective thinking would get you back.
Gold is the forever metal. drop it in the ocean, bury it, heat it in a furnace, it survives. I can't say the same about your coal or cryptos.
Gold is such an economically important and strategic metal, the banking elites of many countries deliberately overstate or understate their holdings, for their own strategic reasons. They are vaulting it in increasing quantities.
I'm willing to bet they know more about the future of gold than you do.
