Quite correct to buy property and stocks while everything is in an asset bubble and approaching the top of the cycle? well, until the FED raise rates or taper, and the entire game of musical chairs comes to an abrupt end... sure.
Yeah, let's buy property now - while the FED are purchasing hundreds of billions $ worth of mortgage backed securities
every month, literally creating the bubble - before they themselves pop it. No that's not the smart thing to do. Aus real estate is perhaps in the biggest bubble of them all, and regardless of our own policies when the US pops that bubble it will be almost global this time.
I'm well aware of the dow:gold ratio, and others, and if you fail to see where value truly lies then when those exponential curves in markets and other assets come down quicker than they went up you're gonna wish you had a good chunk of gold. Just a question of when, not if. Consider this accumulation period.... like a crypto bear market.
As for your comment re. corn tin cattle etc I never stated you can't trade it... you missed the point. Those other assets are by and large traded for delivery - and manipulation is constrained as they are commodities that are usually physically moved around and used in our daily lives with short lifespans.
Rigging the corn market for example would not be possible, unless world governments were secretly hoarding it in vaults then perhaps there would be a reason to do so....
The manipulation we see with gold is because 99.999% of it sits in vaults all day every day. Make no mistake, gov and banks are hoarding the stuff.... while suppressing the price at the same time... There's a logical end game, and i'm afraid you are too busy comparing it's past performance to see what that is.
