Goldbugs are funny people who think that gold, which they state only preserves value is going to make them rich through a wishful enrichment process that invariably does seem to involve the transformation of 1 adult suit into 2 , 3...n... suits.
They are completely against casino capitalism without realizing how deeply they are embedded in it.
At the center of their illusion is, of course, their inability to distinguish between a non-productive investment, like gold or Bitcoin, from a productive one.
