Skol loves to deride 'Gold Bugs' about things they say not coming true, yet the guy has had so many false dawns where he said the US economy was going 'gangbusters' and the reality has turned out to be something different. The US real economy and the US equities market are two different things.

The US economy has performed far better than most in the world and is at nearly full employment. It's not perfect but not bad, goldbugs deride the US economy as falling apart, a deluded and senile Federal Reserve Board out of touch with the real world and counterfeit economic numbers.
Goldbugs love their conspiracy theories, the German gold nonsense, crashing companies, evaporating fiat money etc. etc.
it's all bollocks.
The US stockmarket is a predictor of the future and that's why it's booming, because overall the economy is performing well, companies are profitable and there's no seriously bad news on the horizon.
Which reminds me of CBA which the goldbugs predict will crash, is up 2.5% today after a terrific profit.
