Nearly all the gold stocks on the TSX in Canada are down tonight (as I watch, at the moment, 11.15pm WST Australia).
They are not down massively, most between 2% and 6% at the moment, though they may moderate and come back into the black as the day progresses, the market has only been open 2 hours in Canada at the moment, as I type this.
It's hard to understand the selling, maybe it's just that everyone in the Northern Hemisphere decided this was the day to take some profits off the table after the extensive rise in the gold price.
We all know the gold price is manipulated, and the markets are hugely manipulated like a mafia run casino. More than 60% of trades on the North American markets are now done by algorithmic bots. So what happens on market when 100 funds release their competing algorithmic bots on the same day?
It's like an Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) nightmare, and we just sit here and watch it, and can do nothing. It's a terrifying future that we have woven for ourselves, and our children.
