Gold rise after gfc was also partly due to q.e. 1-3. Ie: newcrest slumped to under $20 in gfc then rose out of the gfc ashes with gold.

Maybe more q.e. to solve stagnation?. funny with population rising on an exponential curve going to 8 and 10 billion people, thought the world wouldn't be slowing down with everyone going out to harvest food, build houses, pipelines, trade ....except we all live in cities run by robots so there's no need for human labour, leaving a bleak future for billions of younger people. Oh well maybe the next society will work out better.
