Yes that will do - globalisation different rather than finished. Gold , no Doc doesn't see it rising above its recent high. It will fluctuate as it does but the high is in for now - more likely to drift down to 1360, undoubtedly there will a few false breaks north followed by heavy declines. The demand for gold that caused the recent spurt has tailed off - Doc is inclined towards CB buying is close to where they want it for now (only a few are buying by the way). No reason for holding gold other than a speculative trade. CB don't buy assets for investment purpose, their motive is different - there is comparatively little demand for gold from investors

Cb's buy gold for the same reason as everyone else. Non correlation, diversification, locked in wealth outside of the monetary system, antidote to negative interest rates. All of these factors are rising, not waning.
