There will be plenty of gauging in the gold price action. The last time we saw a gold smashing was a month or so before Trump’s election win.
Currently we need that Iran crisis spike to be reached first and observe how price react. As usual the conditions are fluid as we transition from a relief on the phase 1 deal right into a Black Swan event still unfolding. We are still witnessing the train wreck of economies highly dependent on cross China business so the longer the virus find a peak mortality/infection rates the more these collateral damages inflicts.
Eventually it will be another buying opportunity of risk assets, timing as usual is the most difficult and plenty have offered the various strategies to be the early or late bird.
