I never said the FED is tampering with the Gold price, I said it was tampering with the BOND prices. They have emphatically stated this fact publicly, as part of Quantitative Easing programme. The FED would only buy Gold as a matter of last resort when, all other means had failed, even the Australian reserve bank has dipped its toes in the bond yeild manipulation pool.
