    The 'great gold mania of 2011' ??

    You mean when prices went from around USD1400, peaked at a little over USD1800 and finished at about USD1600 ?

    You call that a 'Great Gold Mania' ?? A bit of an exaggeration and overly dramatic I think.

    I think the behaviour of equity, bond and certain real estate markets over the last 5 years probably wear the 'Mania' label far more comfortably.
