If you premise that gold was trash for this reason, did they lose control of bitcoin? Why did the sovereign regulators/authorities took so long to address this asset class? Just asking.
During last year crash, I spent a good 5 months prepping for the pullback to try and time market cheap entry. I was a lucky one as I had minimum exposure because market feels ecpensive. However the noises of listening to experts chatting doom got me on the cautious view. It was the bargain of a lifetime!
The same can be said currently, follow the trend instead of picking the top. Equities are about to go on another melt up. Taper/QT are just to shake the markets for better entries.
However I can't extend that to gold. Just like bitcoin, love or hate it. Have some in the portfolio but know when to fold or restack. I'm simply managing my psychology. My timing was out hence couldn't exploit the deep pullback this year to buy with pinned ears!
