That is the worry. Since last year, the correlation between gold and dxy have been most phases -ve but there were some small +ve direction as well. The same with bond yields, there isn't any consistency as well. Gold is very difficult to pick turning points from the ST that turns into the LT sustaining rally. That is my experience anyway, others are more skillful at the timing.

@AverageJoe my sentiment is expect the unexpected, the market does not hand over easy free money.

Maybe some here think they are more clever than the market despite having a track record of being on the wrong side of the market??

I think some research on humility rather than the market will give some a better edge in life.
