For a long time there was a school of thought on HC that China knew exactly what it was doing, that they were the future, incredibly smart people in a land of unlimited wealth. To suggest otherwise - to suggest they might come a cropper - got a very lukewarm reception indeed.

And then - since the election of Donald Trump - we have had a school of thought on HC that Trump knows exactly what he is doing, that he was an incredibly smart wealthy person who would outmanoeuvre all his enemies. To suggest otherwise - to suggest he might come a cropper - got a very lukewarm reception indeed.

And you still see it today. The loyal followings do not fall away that easily.

It is interesting to see the champions of two schools of thought now going head to head.
Who will win? One, both, or neither?
