yer general inflation and gold is one thing many things that will protect your wealth against inflation, if inflation was 10% one year your cup of coffee would be $5 the next 5.50 in that enviroment gold is a fantastic investment because you are protected against inflation but in this enviroment where inflation is only 0.6% i cant see why every one suddenly wants gold so badly.
