Yummy,this isn't going to be easy,but it may be time to begin actually thinking.
The U.S. has a population of 320 million. There are 73 million under the age of 16 and 46 million over the age of 65. So,....I will do the arithmetic for you as I reckon it is beyond your embryonic brain,there are about 200 million working age folk ( actually a lot less when the sick,incapacitated etc are deducted).
You confidently state that '90 million' Americans have given up looking for work'....that is close enough to an unemployment rate of 50%. If you can afford a ticket...which I doubt, go to the US and you will find that the place is not falling apart and that every second working age person is not unemployed!
