"The best gold prospect in the NT is the Tower prospect - a large potential low grade resource near the bitumen road a short distance from the Union Reefs large twin circuit 2.5 mtpa mill of GBS. Only problem GBS have gone into voluntary administration and Renison are seeking payment for Toms Gully.
My focus in the NT would be gold now and iron ore but you will need to convince Ian Scott to change tack from an immovable singular focus on uranium and specialty metals !! A junior explorer has to be fast on it's feet to survive particularly if it has other commodity options.
Gold producers will be the new commodity cash kings if gold holds it's current price the exchange rate remains the same or thereabouts and oil prices stay below $100 barrel. If gold increases in price, an almost certainty, then gold producers will be in clover.
The key will be the Union Reefs mill which should become a different proposition with the increase in the AUD$ gold price and reduced energy and labour costs."
any thoughts? is "low grade" Gold worth the trouble?
