Had a good look through the Goldfields website last night.
It was notable that there was no mention of the joint venture with Conquest other than a map showing Mt Carlton JV circled. There was a table detailing all of Goldfields Australasian exploration/operations with no mention of Conquest at all.
This would indicate to me that they have no further interest in Mt Carlton JV area other than defending their perceived lack of compliance for whatever reason. IMO Conquest may be considering action with regard to damages in relation to this perceived non compliance. If my suspicions are correct then this dispute could go on for a lot longer. Whilst all this drags on (6 + months) further exploration is stifled and the SP languishes at levels that are alarming the majority of shareholders. A high proportion of shareholders are currently well and truly out of the money. Its high time that management made announcements to inform all with regard to the status of the joint venture dispute and progress with the DFS.
For investors considering CQT the current SP weakness provides a unique opportunity to buy at bargain prices as the gold silver and copper is still in the ground waiting to be mined.
