Playing the market is fine, purposely releasing misinformation in an effort to artificially depress the lithium market is not. I'm well aware of the ducks and drakes competing industries and firms play but this consolidated attack is based on releasing fraudulent material to the market spooking a reaction for nothing other than their own greed.
It's rather remarkable how heavy handed authorities came down on a bunch of kids on Reddit who saw an opportunity to hit back at vulture capitalists with their collective GameStop move, protecting the top end of the market yet not a peep when plays like this are made. I genuinely feel for the mum and dad investors whose wealth has been stolen from them by these thieves.
