Potentially - LANI could make influenza vaccine redundant. Vaccines are a blunt instrument when it comes to fighting wily viruses like the influenza family (requires substantial population coverage) - and in addition the vaccine needs to be revamped at 6 monthly intervals. Much better to carefully use an antiviral such as LANI as a prophylactic - could keep the "flu" at bay for years!

Vested interests in thr vaccine camp will make our solution a hard sell - but it certainly could work out - big time!!
