Interesting read GS report, however I've learnt from past experience to read in between the lines of those reports.
Pig Iron plant closed last week in indonesia, operated by the chinese b/c of high cost of production, did the GS report account for this.
Those 164 small steel co's that china closed down all used pig iron. Pig iron needs greater iron ore. The docks this week are still piled high of iron ore

Have you followed of late the LME, also take note later next year just in the gulf alone major projects commence. One project alone will require the qty of steel eqv to two Eiffel towers, you can now imagine how much steel is going to be produced. The size of this project is the largest gas plant in the world to be constructed.
