How do you know for sure A2 is #2? It think it might be, but have you seen any confirmation of that somewhere?
A2's reporting never really singles out ANZ supermarket IMF sales. It was clear that ANZ IMF sales overall declined by 7.9% in FY22 (due to a major restructure in channel emphasising CBEC, where sales increased 53%. So if that impacted supermarket share, #3 could be possible as well?
In either case, an increase of ~8% in sales for 1Q23 would align with what one might expect to see prompted by the new English label rollout.
In other news, I just noticed that the A2 Manuka Honey product looks to have finally been dumped for good. It was initially plagued by manufacturing issues then it was during the COVID slump when they tried to bring it back. Shame though as it tasted nice.
