re: grant62 is wrong Hate to back up Jolly but I haven't seen gold move. NY actually closed down for the day. I assume the statement was made during NY comex trading. Its going up now but this is not the average Yank buying.
Todays pattern was identical to many many trading sessions in NY. First a bop down at open. Slow rise during the day and then a final last minute bash. Has happened many times with or without Osama/Saddam/War talks etc.
