14,000 through the gates on Thursday when he hit off at 7.27am. He is WELL worth it. PLUS the amount of kids I saw out watching him play was amazing. Dad's taking their 8 - 15yo boys and girls to see the greatest golfer of all time and inspire them to play our great game.

Many choose to focus on the 3 million it cost to get Tiger and not look at the long term benefits of getting so many children involved in Golf by seeing him play in person.

Re "maybe they should shaft tiger and offer the winner some real prize money to attract an international field?" I understand where you are coming from but the Yanks couldn't give a rats if there was $1,000,000 up for grabs. They play for that 42 weeks of the year and don't need to leave their own Country. And if they win here we TAX them before they leave and then they get taxed AGAIN at home. Hardly seems worth the trip for the big boys like Phil and Tiger... Remembering to get that $1,000,000 they also have to WIN. And on courses that our boys have played since starting the game and are VERY different to what they have played all their lives. So unless you GUARANTEE them their money they won't turn up. Sad but true.

Get on Scott at The Aussie Open. He shot 61 at the Lakes (from memory)when he was an Amateur and is obviously is good form again.

    Good luck.

    Pete
