GREENSThe Greens Committee is always endeavouring to improve our course as can be seen by the ongoing work around the 12th green, around the dams, as well as many other beautification programmes. Water or rather lack of it on a consistent basis has seen your Board pursuing sewer mining options. A proposal to take sewage from Sydney Water’s sewer main (SWOOS) adjacent to the 6th fairway is being progressed through approvals at present. Once implemented it will provide a permanent supply of irrigation water, treated to “A +” standard which is nearly drinkable. This water would not only be for present usage but will also supply the new course when constructed as well as being considered for long term flushing of toilets etc. Members will be updated regarding this proposal process as progress occurs.
