cmdhit, yesterdays low volume reflected the difficulty experienced by traders in placing orders. On Commsec I couldn't access normal order placing and had to call a voice broker. So in effect trades were very restricted. There is also confusion as to its current trading status and the deferred settlement etc.
I don't think we will gain a real understanding of its status and market sentiment until this administrative phase progresses to a logical end and normal trading recommences.
In the meantime we have seen traders buy in to secure the bonus offers which in my opinion is a sound strategy. This has taken the consolidated price up to a new hight of 33c which has to be a good start.
As to news... well if I were a director of this company I would be considering a tactical release at a time when I was certain that all the dynamics were in place...i.e. Dow is up; other stocks aren't taking the limelight, time allows traders to exercise options etc etc.
Time to wait and see.
