The price of most stocks is now a function of short-term trading activity with bearish sentiment prevailing - LYC is no exception and the share price does not reflect any realistic notion of fundamental value.
The REO project is going ahead and in 2010 LYC will produce revenues proportional to REO basket prices.
The question for investors (as opposed to traders) is:
"what will be the prices paid for REOs in 2010 and beyond?"
For those who believe that the world will not fall into a deep depression, then current prices for LYC stock are an opportunity, and the current daily volatility is pretty irrelevant.
For those who believe otherwise, then most assets are likely to fall and the stock market is probably best avoided!
