the crazy thing about Gonski - or rather Better Schools (or whatever they call it now, since Gonski disowned it) - is that much of the funding comes from tertiary education cuts....
No one would argue we don't need a better education system, the argument should be are we going to achieve better outcomes by throwing more money at the sector, or spending it in better ways? how big is the education bureaucracy for example, and does it achieve better outcomes for its presence?
