This morning's Advocate on page 7 has also news on this with the opposition asking whether the proposed resources tax will have any effect on the possible project. It also brings up about the Greens' concerns with regards to the Tarkine.
Mr AIRD'S comments were reassuring apparently stating he was still optimistic a smelter could still proceed. Further; he believed all the environmental tests could be satisfied.
Unfortunately I can't link the article!
Hopefully we may get some sort of response from the Company about the main two issues raised!!! (No time to check whether the area down Marawah way encroaches on Tarkine location).
Unfortunately also I will be flat out at work today so i can't ring!
